The lateral section length of horizontal wells with shallow deployment of 3000m in Jimsar shale oil field is generally about 1000~2000 m, and the well inclination angle is nearly 90°. There are technical difficulties in drilling the curve and horizontal sections such as WOB transfer, hole cleaning and wellbore stability. In response to the above problems, starting with the optimization of the well structure, the optimization of high-efficiency PDC bits, the " high-power screw + hydraulic oscillator" coordinated with the speed-increasing steering, and the optimization of the compound salt drilling fluid system, the study formed the key drilling technology of Jimsar shallow shale oil horizontal well. In 2019, this technology was applied to drill 22 horizontal wells in Jimsar Oilfield. The wellbore structure was changed from " three-spud" to " two-spud" . The average horizontal section length was 1 538 m, the average ROP was 8. 81 m /h, and the average drilling and completion period is 66. 38 day. Compared with the previous horizontal wells, the proportion of rotary steering tools has dropped from 100% to 28% , and the average horizontal section length has increased by 291 m, but the average drilling and completion period is still shortened by 7. 1 day. The practice has shown that the key technology for drilling horizontal wells in Jimsar shallow shale oil effectively alleviates the dependence of shale oil horizontal wells on imported rotary steering tools, and meets the demand for benefit development of Jimsar shale oil, and provides a reference for domestic shale oil horizontal well development.
