Automatic Vertical Drilling Tools Promoted in Penglai Gas Area

自动垂直钻井工具在蓬莱气区推广应用

Abstract: The geological conditions of Sichuan Basin area are complex. The LeikoupoJialingjiang formation in Penglai gas area in central Sichuan is subject to compressive fold deformation, large formation dip angle and high natural deflecting. The conventional directional drilling with bending screw and composite drilling method has low deviation correction efficiency, low ROP and long drilling cycle, which has become a problem for increasing speed and efficiency in this area, affecting the overall development effect. In order to achieve the goal of releasing weight on bit, antideviation, improving ROP, and achieving optimal-fast drilling, automatic vertical drilling method is applied in Member1 of Leikoupo-Jialingjiang Formation and Member1 of Leikoupo-Feixianguan Formation. By using Power-V and VertiTrak vertical drilling tools, during drilling process, the drilling parameters are released and the closed-loop automatic adjustment is made to keep the well trajectory be vertical, hich is targeted to overcome the problem of well deviation with large formation dip in this area. Tools optimization,operation parameter optimization and implementation of supporting technical schemes have been carried out in the drilling of 6 wells including PSX13 and PSX6, with an average ROP of 8. 45 m /h, which was 5. 71 times that of the offset wells without using the tool, and the well inclination was controlled within 1 °. It had achieved footage exceeding 1000m per trip in PSX6 and PSX9 wells. The actual drilling data show that the application of the automatic vertical drilling tool effectively controls the well deviation in the Penglai gas area, with significant effect of deviation reduction and speed increase, and has obtained good economic and social benefits, which can be further popularized and applied in the Penglai gas area.

摘要: 四川盆地地质条件复杂,川中蓬莱气区雷口坡~嘉陵江组挤压褶皱变形、地层倾角大、自然造斜率高,常规的弯螺杆定向+复合钻进方法纠斜效率低,机械钻速慢,钻井周期长,成为该区提速增效的技术难题, 影响整体开发效果。为达到解放钻压、防斜打快、提高机械钻速,实现优快钻井的目标, 在雷一段 ~ 嘉陵江地层和雷一段~飞仙关地层,应用自动垂直钻井方法,使用Power-V、VertiTrak垂钻工具,钻进过程中解放钻井参数,闭环自动调整,使井斜保持垂直,对克服该地区地层倾角大的井斜问题具有针对性。 因此进行了工具优选、施工参数优化和配套技术方案的实施,在PSX13、PSX6井等6口井的钻井中, 平均机械钻速为8.45 m /h, 是未使用该工具邻井的 5.71倍,井斜控制在1 °以内。其中 PSX6、PSX9 井等实现一趟钻超千米进尺,实钻数据表明应用先进的垂钻技术在蓬莱气区降斜提速的效果显著,取得了良好的经济效益和社会效益,可在蓬莱气区进一步推广应用
